Hummus (2 × 540 mL cans chickpeas)
Ingredients:
- 2 cans chickpeas, drained (reserve some liquid)
- 4–6 tbsp olive oil
- 4–8 tbsp aquafaba (or water)
- ½–1 tsp salt (to taste)
- (Optional but recommended: 2–4 tbsp lemon juice, 1–2 cloves garlic, ¼–½ cup tahini)
Steps:
- Add everything except extra liquid to the food processor.
- Blend, scraping down sides as needed.
- Add aquafaba/water 1 tbsp at a time until smooth/creamy.
- Taste → adjust salt, lemon, etc.
- Blend 30–60 sec more for extra smoothness.
Done.
